In a bleak world devoid of trees, ‘Last Tree Standing' tells the tale of a young dystopian girl named Lexie,
who befriends a peculiar being - half- man, half-tree.
Last Tree Standing is a 30 min. live action short film written/directed/produced and edited by Agnes Peel-McGregor.
It premiered at SITGES International Fantastic Film Festival, being only one of five shorts directed by a woman in Official Competition. To date, the film has won thirty awards on the festival circuit worldwide and from professional Guilds and Associations, including multiple wins for Best Film, Best Director and Best Screenplay.
Last Tree Standing is a co-production between the United States, Australia and Poland.
